Where have you lived?

I was born in upstate New York. When I was 8 years old my family moved to the Bay Area in California. I went to college about 30 minutes outside San Francisco. The day after I graduated I moved to the city, and I have lived here ever since! For 19 years!

I work mostly in paper collage, ink and gouache. Lately I have been doing more digital work.

How do you stay inspired?

I get outside as often as I can and walk around, both in my neighborhood in San Francisco and in nature.

Where do you buy your art supplies?

In San Francisco we have this great art supply store called Flax. It’s filled with interesting things (in addition to supplies!), and close to where I live. I love to shop there, but I also get lots of supplies at Blick. They have the best sales!
