Where do you live?
Havertown, PA. It’s a suburb of Philadelphia.

Where have you lived?
Always somewhere within a few miles of Philadelphia except for a brief stint in Kansas City, MO working for Hallmark.

What medium do you use?
Golden High Flow Acrylics. I discovered them a few years ago and LOVE them.

How do you stay inspired?
I think trying new things helps give me different perspectives that keep me inspired.

Where do you buy your art supplies?
Dick Blick both online and in the Philadelphia store. Going to the store is my favorite, though. They carry so much cool stuff.

Do you work traditionally or digitally?
Currently I am working traditionally but I worked all digitally in the past.

What color combination are you most excited about right now?
I love neutrals with a pop of bright color. But if I have to narrow it down maybe a Deep Navy and Bright Pink

I don’t read as many blogs as I used to because Instagram and Facebook have so much content, but I still check out:

Why do you like being an illustrator in 10 words or less?
I like to think with paint and crack myself up.

If you weren’t an illustrator, what would you be?
I think I would be an online detective. I think I’m very good at tracking down information, plus I’m a little nosy.

What illustration job would you love to get (your dream job)?
A picture book or a line of something—for example, home décor or stationery that could be more narrative

Run, play soccer, read

What’s the strangest work experience you’ve ever had?
My boss brought in a dead bat in a lunch bag and tried to get us to open it. Luckily I was very suspicious and stayed far away from that bag!

What are you reading now?
I am just finishing an advanced copy of “A Silent Witness” by Alan Drew. It’s SO good.

What recent book do you recommend for a good read?
“Eleanor and Park” by Rainbow Rowell

Where would you like to travel to next?
Italy, Road trip across the US, Japan

What’s your favorite TV show?
Right now “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

“So I Married an Axe Murderer”

Dwight (not really, but it would it would be funny if I was)

Do I have to choose just one?!!? Cheese is the BEST!

Anything but music. I need my mind to be distracted by Netflix or a podcast.

The Global Talent Search final assignment was the BEST. It was right up my alley. Home décor and gift products that were narrative by adding my quirky copy.
