Where do you live?
I live in Piera (Barcelona, Spain)

Where have you lived?
I lived in Barcelona city, Corbera del Llobregat (near BCN) and now in Piera (also near BCN), Spain.

What medium do you use?
I use watercolors, pencil and colored pencils, and also sometimes digital media like Procreate or Photoshop.

How do you stay inspired?
I stay inspired with music, travelling (when I can), reading books and drawing without limits.

Where do you buy your art supplies?
I buy them in Barcelona (when possible) and online.

Do you work traditionally or digitally?
Mostly traditionally but sometimes digitally as well.

What color combination are you most excited about right now?
I love working with all of colors but at this moment I really love pink and blue combination.

Why do you like being an illustrator in 15 words or less?
Because I wanted to be happy and share my art and stories with the rest of the world.

If you weren’t an illustrator, what would you be?
I think I would be a teacher (because I love children) and also a museum curator.

Name something you do in your spare time.
I love going to museums and seeing new exhibits, drawing, reading and meeting family and friends for dinner or to talk about our things.

What recent book do you recommend for a good read?
I just read Tatiana’s book Țîbuleac, “The Summer My Mother Had Green Eyes” is very sincere and very raw but I liked it. The tone of the book is similar to the Fleabag series.

Where would you like to travel to next?
We had a trip planned for all of California for 2020, in fact it was for our honeymoon, but in principle we will do it next year.

What podcasts do you like?
I love podcasts that talk about series or movies, and especially those that make me laugh.

What show have you binge-watched?
Rick & Morty

What’s your favorite movie?
I’ve a lot of favorites movies, for example: Big Fish, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Amélie, Everything is illuminated, Hook, Ms. Doubtfire, MCU, Harry Potter films, Chicken Run, Coraline, Pixar movies like Up, Ratatouille, Brave, Monsters Inc, Bugs, Toy Story… I really love movies.

Who is your favorite cartoon character?
Ginger (Chicken Run), Finn (Adventure Time), Gumball, Wallace & Gromit, Astérix & Obélix, Tintin, etc.

What is your favorite cheese?
I love all cheese, but especially Gorgonzola and Stilton Cheese.

If you could name a nail polish, what would you name it?
I think “Spring Rose”.

Do you wear shoes when you do art?
Yes I do, but in summer I like to walk barefoot.

What do you listen to while you work?
I love listen to my favorites bands like Mumford and Sons, Ok Go, Bishop Allen, Vampire Weekend, Bob Dylan, Manel or Sense Sal (the last ones are both Catalan bands).

What artist are you reincarnated from?
I don’t know but I love Impressionist Art and Post-Impressionist.

What’s your middle name?
I don’t have one, but my full name is Albert Arrayás Dominguez.

What do you wish your middle name was?
I think I like Percival or Edmund — a very typical British name.

If you could eat only one food, what would it be?
I think my father’s cannelloni.

What is your current favorite font?
My favorite font is Garamond and Avenir Next.

How do you take your coffee?
First I put the coffee maker to heat, then I choose a different cup each day (I love cups) and then I select the coffee I want to drink that day.

Whom would you like to meet?
I would love to meet great world illustrators like Shaun Tan, Oliver Jeffers, David Roberts or Isabelle Arsenault.
