Our yummy laptops with gelskins and gems
This one is Jillian’s art with big chunky gems. It is so very fun to sit and glue gems on the art. It’s like paint by numbers. So calming. So satisfying.
Carolyn Gavin’s art with gems, gems, gems. They are flat-backed gems and also some plastic flowers. We happy.
This is Julia’s work station.
Monday: My awesome daughter sewed this bag.
New stationery products by Carolyn Gavin for teNeues.
Mati Rose McDonough came to visit us last week from San Francisco and gave us this wonderful pillow. Her mom sewed it.
Carolyn’s new fabric for P&B Textiles and some more sewing projects.
Here’s our lovely selection of new fabric bolts by Carolyn Gavin for P&B Textiles. The quality of the cotton is really yummy. You can buy the fabric here.
Here’s a potholder I made of Carolyn’s Wild Thyme fabric.
A closer look. Check out the word, “Yummy” that my Bernina machine can do.
.
A different potholder using fabric by me (the daffodils) and the pink houses are by Lisa Congdon, and the red line-art flowers are by Carolyn.
While I’m shooting snaps, I thought I’d show you this little fabric wallet. Sorry about the blurriness.
The inside..
A pretty leather wallet for my cellphone. I get the leathers on ebay.
Here’s the inside with velcro dots.

“Hi Lilla!
I wanted to let you know that I am the November 2009 featured illustrator in Art + Design, the premiere art and design print magazine in all of China! There is a two page article based on an interview a journalist did with me (in Chinese!) and several images!
I’ve attached a couple photos of the magazine spread.
Cheers,

Carolyn’s Belize Trip 2009
Carolyn writes:
Belize is a gorgeous, low-key, tiny country situated east of Guatemala and the southern part of Mexico. Languages are predominately English with Spanish and Creole. For 2 weeks we rented a small cabana on the beach. We swam, rode our bikes, read, lazed in hammocks and soaked up as much sun as possible. We ate fresh fish just about everyday, played games, went for walks and observed nature in all its glory… green, pink, orange, blue, such bright hues surrounding us. It was a real rest and break from the busyness of our lives… absolute rejuvenation of the mind and creative spirit… to last a long time!
