You’ll swoon at the delicate beauty of the work by Flora Waycott.

Today’s we’d love to spotlight the work by Flora Waycott.

Animation by Natasha Dewitz

“If I weren’t creating art I would love to own a cafe and tea shop, filled with flower posies and vegetables from the garden.”
One of the things that immediately drew me to Flora’s work was her ability to create delicate, warm pieces without an ounce of saccharine.
Her work is highly embellished with florals, insects, birds and other creatures, and adorned with her recognizable lettering style. When I first spotted her in my Make Art That Sells courses, I know I was interested in seeing more.
She’s continued to grow in her work, staying busy with a multitude of illustration projects for top brands such as Anthropologie, HGTV, HarperCollins, Live Happy Magazine, Publix Supermarkets, Quarto, Sterling Publishing, and Trader Joe’s.
Flora’s unique style comes from her multi-cultural background–Flora is originally from England, raised in Japan, and currently living in Australia.

Recently, I gave this worksheet to my artists to entice them to illustrate their vision for the future, post-pandemic. Here’s what they did…

We are in support of inclusivity and a positive vision for the future.

Art makes a difference. Read Sarah Walsh’s words below.

Sarah Walsh
Sarah created art to honor George Floyd. You can find her T-shirts on Etsy, with 100% of the proceeds donated to Black Lives Matter and the NAACP.
Sarah writes “I’m an artist. Pictures are my words. I make art to express my feelings. So that’s what I’ll do to spread awareness and raise money. I also wanted to put an image of George that more accurately reflected the beauty of his life and the people that may have known and loved him versus him on the ground with a knee in his neck during the last moments of life.”
