Ruby Violet by Lilla Rogers

I am sooooo excited to announce the debut of my new line, Ruby Violet! I am a crazed crafter and am thrilled to have partnered with the lovely Prima group.

I’m about to fly to Chicago to go to CHA to launch the product line of embellishments, cuffs, necklace kits, rubberstamps, scrapbooking papers, and tons more!

A special shout out to Suzy Ultman for her help and wisdom and to Hsinping Pan for her art on some of the buttons.

Hope you like it!

Doll hat inspired by Silvia Dekker’s stationery

Silvia writes:

“Hi Lilla,

I received an email from Adrianne Pouw, who makes beautiful crochet accessories for children and dolls. She told me she is inspired by my work and she sent me a picture of a wonderful Blythe doll hat inspired by stationery I designed for Dutch department store HEMA. I think it’s great when someone is inspired by my work! She has an Etsy store where she sells her accessories.”

Suzy Ultman – Felt Creations

Suzy writes:

“Lilla,
Meet Tulip & Mr. Sherwood. These playful felt creations are trouble-makin’ neighbors from the wonderful land of Suzyville. You can catch these mischievous friends at Rivet Gallery’s “STUFF THIS” show. They are hand-crafted with care, including vintage fabric and antique keys. Enjoy! xo suzy*u”

Lilla’s Mosaic

Here’s the first mosaic I did, a few years ago. It’s a house number. The orange tiles are from a broken tea cup and the blue background tiles are stained glass.

Quiz: Is it a Lilla necklace or a Tiffany’s necklace?

A little necklace I made recently of briolette stones. One of these shots is my friend’s necklace she got from her daughter from Tiffany’s. Can you guess which one? It’s kinda obvious because the Tiffany briolettes are cut perfectly. My stones are from ebay and etsy on the cheap. My friend says she likes mine better. But that just shows you what a lovely person she is because I know she is just saying that.

NYC trim shop

My friend Susan just came back from a trim shop in NYC, Cody’s Tassels and Trim, and brought this back for us to make necklaces with beads on like we saw at Nordstrom’s recently.

My awesome daughter sewed this bag.

My daughter, when she was 12, sewed this bag for Ashley’s son who she is completely smitten with. She took pictures of him, printed them out on transfer paper, ironed them onto fabric, cut them out, and sewed the whole thing together. She made the pictures of Oliver as little pockets to hold cellphones. I’m bragging; sorry. Can’t help it.

The fabric is from Reprodepot.
