This week in my garden
My garden’s bounty this week. I hope to show you more as the season goes on. I’m partial to vivid colors, particularly hot reds and yellowy greens. Let this be color inspiration for you.
Sweet william and pink cornflower and spearmint. Notice the Chilewich mat.
Spent magenta peonies
Hydrangea and party girl rose
Sidalcea and I forget what the yellow thing is:
Helen Dardik and Mike Lowery at Surtex
My teensiest artist and maybe my tallest artist meet at Surtex.
Grace Bonney at our booth
What a pleasure to finally meet the wonderful, lovely Grace at our booths at Surtex NYC. Here she is, stylish, in front of Lisa DeJohn’s art. Grace has done more for the industry than anyone I know.
Lisa DeJohn and Suzy Ultman
Here’s my artist Lisa DeJohn with Michael Grey at the teNeues booth at the Stationery Show NYC. TeNeues made a lovely card set of these birds which will be available soon. This is Suzy Ultman at the Ink2 booth where her birds are featured on their banner at the Stationery Show. We love the folks at Ink2 and you’ll hear more about that soon. I will try to tempt you by saying that we’re going to be selling cards from our site really really soon with the help of the Ink2 folks.
Lisa DeJohn’s perpetual calendar by Chronicle makes its debut at the Stationery Show
I caught a shot of Lisa’s journal (on left) at Chronicle’s booth. It’s paired with Sukie’s fab journal. Waterspouts and chimney tops. What a great name. You turn the little wheels to make your day and date. We’ll make a link to it from our SHOP page when it’s available for purchase. In the meantime, if anybody sees where we can buy it, please let us know! Thanks!
Stuff seen on the streets of NYC
I lived in NYC for 8 years, but there’s always stuff to see.
Jon Cannell’s art in Starbucks
Walking down the street in NYC we spotted Jon Cannell’s fabulous piece in Starbucks.
