An illustrated cat blog by Ann Boyajian’s cats
Ann writes:
“Hi Lilla! I’ve been working on an illustrated blog, called ‘Cattywumpus’ about my cats, hand-lettering the text. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while. Since I recently moved my studio home, my cat ‘muses’ are always around, wanting to pose and be noticed. I’m having a lot of fun with this.”
Ann Boyajian inspired by cat muses
Ann writes:
“Hi Lilla!
I just did an interview with Ann Dziemianowicz, the author of Careers For Your Cat. I had a lot of fun answering her questions about my cats, and how they inspired me as I did the illustrations for her book. I included some photos of the cats and detailed the “careers” in which they were featured. She posted the interview on her blog – click here to read and see more.”

Ann Boyajian’s yummy pieces
Ann came to the studio recently to meet with me to talk about some new direction for work for licensing. We talked about how great it would be for her to do pastry pieces. I think her fantastic classic drawing with clean, tight lettering and then great painterly texture behind the work is a fine combo. Who do you think should license this work? Can you see it on plates? Tea towels?
