Linda writes:
Hi Lilla,
I’m pleased to be taking part in Feliz, a 3 day celebration of handmade here in Austin Nov 2 – 4th. There will be 27 artists/makers both local and from around the country selling their wares at the beautiful Palm Door. It’s sure to be an inspired event of meeting, making and shopping. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty learning shibori dyeing techniques at one of Saturday’s workshops! Learn more about the event and it’s creators/participants at felizsale.com.”

Trina’s illustrations for New Family Traditions Book
Trina writes:
“Hi Lilla
I loved illustrating this book so much!
It was for Running Press and written by Meg Cox. It’s packed full of great suggestions on how to create personal family rituals and traditions – it has a really imaginative and cosy feeling text. I’ve worked as a nanny and also as an au pair many times over the years and as I drew these pictures it was amazing how many memories and wonderful days spend in the company of children came flooding back to me!
I also loved the challenge of working in two colours plus tints for the interior illustrations and as well as the forty illustrations I also produced a few repeat patterns that were used as backgrounds throughout the book.
I’ve included the two colour roughs I did for the cover.”

New Land of Nod products now available
Sarajo writes:
“Here are some of the new products I designed for Land of Nod. I love designing things that eventually become products. It’s wonderful to be part of the process and translation from design to product and have the opportunity to see these things enjoyed by people all over! The doll collection:
Meet Evelina, Frankie, Ines and Lolly–my new collection of embroidered dolls for Land of Nod. These dolls were inspired by many trips I made as a young girl, accompanying my mother to visit two talented ladies, Eda and Kisha. They rescued dolls (from the doll factory) and created beautifully handmade Hungarian folk costumes for them, and when I would visit, I would always get to take one home. Eda and Kisha were close friends of my grandparents, who were also Hungarian émigrés living in Los Angeles. Learn more and see the collection here.”
