Why I love being an agent
One of the many things I love about being an agent: getting birthday cards by our brilliant artists. I couldn’t keep this beauty to myself, so I’m sharing with you!

Brand New Work!
Today, I’m delighted to present you brand new work by my artists that show off their ability to do amazingly charming children’s picture books. It’s about three things: appealing characters, charming settings, and a fresh style. Fun fact: Four of these pieces happen to include dogs.
Contact us to assign your next book or see more. Our artists are a total pleasure to work with, and so are our agents Susan and Joanne. We’d love to hear from you!

What makes a great portrait? More Menagerie Sneak Peeks!
Let’s chat about how my artist Anne Bentley paints portraits so beautifully. She includes only the essential qualities of likeness and leaves out extraneous stuff. There’s a kind of visual efficiency. But then, she goes full-on decorative in the background to tell the rest of the story. Here, she paints the distinctive features of beloved British writer Virginia Woolf–the bits of white under the iris, the slight droop of the lower lid, the long oval face and narrow nose. But then, the gorgeous Bloomsbury-esque wallpaper motifs in the background tell some more of the story. I hope you enjoy seeing some of Anne’s work she painted for our Art Menagerie.

Lilla’s Picks! The family crests.
I give an assignment to my artists every month and this month it was to do a coat of arms for Lilla Rogers Studio. Prepare to smile.

I want this chair and everything. Get ready to gasp.
Seriously, I really want this chair and plates and everything. I can’t wait to license this fantastic new work by my artist Mara Penny. I took her on because of her unique style and amazing color palette. It’s got edge but still is marketable. Be prepared to gasp. Enjoy. Oh yeah, and her lettering.

Wonky minds and Dutch canisters
Today I’m going for variety: Suzy’s Dutch containers, Trina’s floral line drawings, Zoe’s holiday home decor presentations, Tara’s cerulean blue mid-century print, and Terri Fry Kasuba’s wonderful wonky mind.
